The Chai Guide
How to make the perfect stovetop cup of premium masala chai!

TRADITIONAL METHOD (Recommended)

What you’ll need to make 16 ounces of chai:

1 tablespoon of one of our masala chai blends
1 cup of water
1 cup of milk (cow, goat, almond, coconut, or other alternative)
Raw Honey (recommended), Agave, or Sugar

1) Bring the milk and water to a boil in a saucepan, then reduce to a simmer.
2) Add your tea leaves and stir.
3) Allow to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4) Strain into a teapot or large mug, then the sweetener of your choice.
5) Enjoy!


WESTERN METHOD

What you’ll need to make 8 ounces of chai:

1 tablespoon of one of our masala chai blends
1 cup of boiling water
A splash of milk (cow, goat, almond, coconut, or other alternative)
Basket Infuser
Raw Honey (recommended), Agave, or Sugar

1) Add 1 tablespoon of leaves to your basket infuser and place in a 10-12oz cup.
2) Pour water over the leaves, leaving room for milk.
3) Steep for 5 minutes.
4) Remove your infuser, then add milk and the sweetener of your choice.
5) Enjoy!
