Arnold Palmer: The Perfect Summer Drink!

The classic Arnold Palmer drink created with your favorite black tea!

This recipe makes one tall Arnold Palmer (16oz)

Smooth and refreshing!
First, brew one cup (8oz) of hot tea. Everything about the preparation for the hot tea is normal except for the infusion time. You want to add the recommended infusion times for the first and second infusions together. For instance, for Yunnan Dian Hong, the recommended preparation is to use 1/2 tablespoon of tea leaves in 8 ounces of boiling water. The first infusion time is 3 minutes, and the second infusion time is 5 minutes. For iced tea, you would want to infuse 1/2 tablespoon of leaves in 8 ounces of boiling water for 8 minutes.

The next step is to add one tablespoon of sugar to the hot tea and stir until dissolved.

After you have your cup of double-strength hot sweet tea, take a 16oz glass and fill it 2/3rds of the way with ice. After that, pour the 8 ounces of hot sweet tea over the ice and stir it up. Make sure to add the ice and then quickly pour the tea in before the glass gets cold, as quick temperature changes can cause the glass to crack.

The last step is to squeeze the juice of one small lemon into the 16oz glass and top off with cool water.

That's it! :) Enjoy!~
